The method based on the reaction of the Fe2+ to Fe3+ lead to increases in the magnitude of the absorbance signal monitored at 585 nm. The chemical dosimeter was irradiated and maintained in the horizontal and vertical positions with and without cover for the analysis of oxidation due to radiation or contact with oxygen.
