Two Al-Fe-X-Si (X=V or Nb) compositions, A1908-Fe6.2-Nb.o-Si2o and A190.8-Fe62-V10-Si20 (at. %), were prepared by mechanical alloying from the respective metallic powders. The powder mixtures and extruded materials were characterized by X- ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, scanning (SEM) and transmission (TEM) electron microscopy, and energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). Extruded materials were also characterized for hardness and tensile strength.230-235openAccessmillingaluminium alloysiron alloyssilicon alloysextrusionhot workingmicrostructuremechanical propertiesmechanical propertiesalloysExtrusion of aluminum alloys prepared from mechanical alloying powderTexto completo de evento10.4028/www.scientific.net/MSF.416-418.176
