Using the Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence technique (FRXDE) specific light elements of clinical relevance (Ca, Cl, K and Fe) were determined in human whole blood samples without chemical digestion using direct and non-destructive analysis, in air atmosphere. A comparative study between Ag and Au targets data was carried out and the results are in good agreement.178-186openAccessx-ray fluorescence analysisbloodquantitative chemical analysisclinical trialsdiagnostic usesQuantitative analysis of light elements using compact XRF spectrometersCapítulo de livroCiências exatas e da terra: exploração e qualificação de diferentes tecnologias 410.22533/at.ed.1302113011616https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7766-2692
