Sixty four water samples (41 drinking water samples and 23 surface water) were analyzed by ICPOES, AAS and Ion Chromatography for 33 elements. Metals and ions which were analyzed are: Ag, Al, As, B, Ba, Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Ca, Cu, Fe, Hg, K, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, Sb, Se, Si, Sn, V, Zn, NO3 - , SO4 2-, PO4 3-, F- and Cl- , of these, seventeen elements were determined: Ag, Al, Ba, Ca, Fe, K, Li, Mg, Mn, Na, P, Si, Zn, NO3 - , SO4 2-, F- and Cl- . The sampling period covered June 2005 to December 2006.. For the drinking water samples all elements analyzed were detected in concentrations below the limit established by the Brazilian Drinking Water Standard - Portaria n°518/MS/04. For the surface water samples of all elements analyzed, only to Ag, Al, Fe and P were detected in concentrations, above the limit established by CONAMA 357/05.
