Artigo IPEN-doc 26475 Multielemental analyses of Lonomia obliqua (Lepidoptera, Saturniidae) caterpillar using EDXRF and INAA techniques2019 - ZAMBONI, C.B.; GIOVANNI, D.N.S.; SALVADOR, V.L.R.; SATO, I.M.; MENDONÇA, R.Z.; WEN, F.H.; SIMONS, M.S.In this study, multielemental analysis of Lonomia obliqua (Lepidoptera, Saturniidae) caterpillar was performed using energy dispersive X‐ray fluorescence and instrumental neutron activation analysis techniques. This caterpillar is poisonous and has the ability to cause fatal hemorrhagic effects in humans after contact. The need of this study is related to morphological changes (mainly size and color) observed in some caterpillars used for preparation of antilonomic serum (antivenom). The samples were classified as healthy (caterpillars of control) and unhealthy (caterpillars visibly modified). The XRF measurements were performed in an energy dispersive X‐ray fluorescence spectrometer and the instrumental neutron activation analysis using the IEAR1 nuclear reactor at IPEN. The results show significant differences for several elements (mainly, P, Cl, Ca, Ti, Mn, Fe, Ni, and Zn) in unhealthy caterpillars that can affect the development of this species as well as the quality and yield of the antivenom. Furthermore, its elemental characterization contributes for the understanding the potential pharmacological (procoagulant and antithrombotic) in the prevention of life‐threatening blood clots.Artigo IPEN-doc 23535 Determination of Cu, Cr, and As in preserved wood (Eucalyptus sp.) using x-ray fluorescent spectrometry techniques2016 - PEREIRA JUNIOR, SERGIO M.; MAIHARA, VERA A.; MOREIRA, EDSON G.; SALVADOR, VERA L.R.; SATO, IVONE M.Energy dispersive (EDXRF) and Portable (PXRF) X-ray fluorescence techniques are proposed for wood treatment control process and wood waste assortment. In this study, different retentions of chromated copper arsenate preservative were applied to Eucalyptus sp. sapwood samples. Cu, Cr and As were determined by XRF techniques in treated sapwood massive blocks and treated sapwood sawdust samples were analyzed by FAAS spectrometry (Flame Atomic Absorption) and INAA (Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis). Cu, Cr and As mean values, obtained by FAASS and INAA, showed to be statically equal; however, XRF analysis showed considerable deviations, presenting the absorption and the enhancement effects in analytical lines.Artigo IPEN-doc 21759 Comparative study of inorganic elements determined in whole blood from Dmdsup(mdx)/J mice strain by EDXRF and NAA analytical techniques2016 - REDIGOLO, M.M.; SATO, I.M.; METAIRON, S.; ZAMBONI, C.B.Artigo IPEN-doc 20702 Petroleum and diesel sulfur degradation under gamma radiation2015 - ANDRADE, LUANA dos S.; CALVO, WILSON A.P.; SATO, IVONE M.; DUARTE, CELINA L.Artigo IPEN-doc 20198 Elemental composition and microstructure analysis of a rabbit urolith2014 - MACHADO, DEBORA B.; SATO, IVONE M.; SILVA, FLAVIA R.O.; SALVADOR, VERA L.R.; MARUMO, JULIO T.; SCHOR, NESTOR; BELLINI, MARIA H.Artigo IPEN-doc 14165 Structure and magnetotransport properties in plasma-sprayed Lasub(0.78)Srsub(0.22)MnOsub(3) thick film2002 - ORLANDO, M.T.D.; CUNHA, A.G.; FREITAS, J.C.C.; ORLANDO, C.G.P.; BUD'KO, S.; GIORDANENGO, B.; SATO, I.M.; MARTINEZ, L.G.; BAGGIO-SAITOVITCH, E.M.Artigo IPEN-doc 09947 Treatment of effluents from petroleum production by electron beam irradiation2004 - DUARTE, C.L.; GERALDO, L.L.; JUNIOR, O.A.P.; BORRELY, S.I.; SATO, I.M.; SAMPA, M.H.O.Artigo IPEN-doc 09859 Soil characterization in a subtropical forest crossed by highways (Cantareira State Park, SP, Brazil)2004 - FLUES, M.; SATO, I.M.; COTRIM, M.B.; SALVADOR, V.L.; RANZANI, A.C.; VALLILO, M.I.; OLIVEIRA, E.Artigo IPEN-doc 09946 Application of the electron-beam treatment for Ca, Si, P, Al, Fe, Cr, Zn, Co, As, Se, Cd and Hg removal in the simulated and actual industrial effluents2004 - RIBEIRO, M.A.; SATO, I.M.; DUARTE, C.L.; SAMPA, M.H.O.; SALVADOR, V.L.R.; SCAPIN, M.A.Artigo IPEN-doc 09948 Efficiency of organic compounds removal by electron-beam irradiation in presence of high metal concentrations2004 - DUARTE, C.L.; RIBEIRO, M.A.; SATO, I.M.; SAMPA, M.H.O.
