Resumo IPEN-doc 16197 Hydrogel: the influence of oxygen on the properties of PVP membranes2009 - ALCANTARA, M.T.S.; LUGAO, A.B.The aim of this study is to verify the influence of dissolved oxygen on the synthesis of PVP hydrogels membranes. The hydrogels were prepared in different conditions (i.e., with oxygen dissolved and replacing the oxygen dissolved by nitrogen). The samples were crosslinked by gamma rays. The gel fraction and swelling kinetic in hydrogels membranes were analyzed to study the influence of natural oxygen in membranes prepared. The swelling results showed large differences on cross linking densities from samples irradiated with and without oxygen, however no difference was verified on gel fraction.Artigo IPEN-doc 12615 Estudo da reticulação da matriz de poli(vinil pirrolidona) (PVP) e carboximetil celulose (CMC) para a obtenção de hidrogeis utilizados em curativos2006 - ALCANTARA, M.T.S.; ABSY, E.; ROGERO, S.O.; LUGAO, A.B.Artigo IPEN-doc 12076 Propriedades mecanicas da blenda de poli(vinilpirrolidona)/carboximetil cellulose (PVP/CMC)2007 - ALCANTARA, MARA T.S.; AMARAL, RENATA H.; ROGERO, SIZUE O.; DITCHFIELD, CYNTHIA; TADINI, CARMEN C.; LUGAO, ADEMAR B.Polymerics hydrogels are crosslinked materials with capacity to absorb and to keep high amount of water. PVP hydrogels offer special interest for biomedical applications as they have an excellent biocompatibility. The property of water absorption was improved in PVP hydrogel by the addition of CMC producing a material with still better characteristics of body fluids absorption, matching the requirements of dressings designed to be used in exsudative wounds. Hydrogels after exsudative absorption weaken as a result of the increase in water content. Therefore, the mechanical properties of hydrogels are extremely important in designing it for a given application. In previous work the formulation was already optimized by factorial planning. This work evaluates the mechanical properties of hydrogel made from blends of polyvinyl pyrrolidone and carboxy methyl cellulose (PVP/CMC) by resistance to penetration, and tensile strength measurements. All samples were very weak to deformation and the penetration assay showed more useful to measure the mechanical properties of swelled hidrogels.Artigo IPEN-doc 15157 The influence of water quality on properties of hydrogel membranes prapared by ionizing radiation2009 - ALCANTARA, MARA T.S.; SISTI, CRISTINA; FURUSAWA, HELIO A.; LUGAO, ADEMARArtigo IPEN-doc 13477 Hidrogeis de poli(N-viniol-2-pirrolidona)(PVP): a influencia de plastificantes e gelificante na reticulacao por radiacao ionizante2008 - ALCANTARA, MARA T.S.; SOUSA, JOSE S.; ROGERO, SIZUE O.; LUGAO, ADEMAR B.Artigo IPEN-doc 13297 Avaliacao das propriedades mecanicas do hidrogel de poli(vinil alcool)(PVAI)2008 - AMARAL, R.H.; ANUNCIATO, R.V.; ALCANTARA, M.T.S.; DITCHFIELD, C.; ROGERO, S.O.; ROGERO, J.R.; LUGAO, A.B.Artigo IPEN-doc 11451 Study of radiation-induced crosslinking of polyvinyl pyrrolidone/carboxy methyl cellulose (PVP/CMC) blends2006 - ALCANTARA, MARA T.S.; ROGERO, SIZUE O.; LUGAO, ADEMAR B.Artigo IPEN-doc 15467 Estudo de hidrogel a base de poli(N-vinil-2-pirrolidona) em contato com varios substratos polimericos2006 - ALCANTARA, MARA T.S.; ABSY, ERIKA; ROGERO, SIZUE O.; LOPERGOLO, LILIAN C.; LUGAO, ADEMAR B.Artigo IPEN-doc 15184 Experimental design of mixture applied to study PVP hydrogels properties corsslinked by ionizing radiation2009 - ALCANTARA, MARA T.S.; TAQUEDA, MARIA E.S.; LUGAO, ADEMAR B.
