Conclusões: A precisão dos cálculos de dose no PBA é grandemente influenciada pela escolha dos modelos matemáticos para parametrizar a fluência e dose elementar, especialmente para baixas doses (distantes do eixo central).Resumo IPEN-doc 28088 Distinct dose contributions in proton therapy calculated using MCNP6 and TOPAS2019 - BRANCO, I.S.L.; SHORTO, J.M.B.; SIQUEIRA, P.T.D.; YORIYAZ, H.The trade-off between the delivery of high doses conformed to a tumor volume, and the restriction of the doses received by the surrounding healthy tissues and organs is what characterizes the e±ciency of radiotherapeutic procedures. As a radiotherapy modality, proton therapy stands out in this scenario because it has dosimetric advantages, which, when combined with technological advances, allows a great potential in the dose distribution conformity. By modulating the protons Bragg peak as a function of beam energy and delivery time, the three-dimensional shaped dose distribution generates more pronounced dose gradients, which composes an ideal technique when preserving organs is a priority. In proton therapy, protons account for much of the dose deposition. However, as protons travel through matter, secondary particles are created by interactions, including electrons, neutrons, and gammas. It is believed that the secondary dose, mainly deposited by neutrons, can lead to secondary cancer, especially in pediatric cases. Therefore, the focus of this work is to study the contribution of the different particles in the total dose deposition. Monte Carlo simulations were performed with the MCNP6 code and the TOPAS interface (based on GEANT4) to estimate the dose deposition. A simple water simulator was used and the characteristics of the different beam contributions were investigated. Primary and secondary dose values were tabulated and discussed. By demonstrating the method of these calculations, the objective of this work is to serve as a guide for the study of the different contributions of the dose responsible particles in proton therapy, as well as for understanding how different Monte Carlo codes calculate these contributions. Resumo IPEN-doc 27605 Neutron radiation effects on the NUMEN electronic 'System On Module'2020 - MEDINA, NILBERTO H.; GUAZZELLI, MARCILEI A.; AGUIAR, VITOR A.P.; LO PRESTI, DOMENICO; ADDED, NEMITALA; MACCHIONE, EDUARDO L.A.; OLIVEIRA, JOSE R.B.; MORALLES, MAURICIO; SIQUEIRA, PAULO de T.D.; ZAHN, GUILHERME; GENEZINI, FREDERICO; BONANNO, DANILO; GALLO, GIUSEPPE; RUSSO, SALVATORE; SGOUROS, ONOUFRIOS; MUOIO, ANNAMARIA; PANDOLA, LUCIANO; CAPPUZZELLO, FRANCESCOThe NUMEN (NUclear Matrix Elements for Neutrinoless double beta decay) project was recently proposed [1], with the aim to investigate the nuclear response to Double Charge Exchange (DCE) reactions for all the isotopes explored by present and future studies of 0νββ decay. The expected level of radiation in the NUMEN experiment imposes severe limitations on the average lifetime of the electronic devices. During the experiments it is expected that the electronic devices are exposed to about 105 neutrons/cm2/s according to FLUKA simulations. This work investigates the reliability of the System On Module (SOM) by National Instruments (NI) under neutron radiation [2]. The tests were performed using thermal, epithermal, and fast neutrons produced by the Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (IPEN) 4.5 MW Nuclear Research Reactor. The results show the NI-SOM is robust to neutron radiation for the proposed applications in the NUMEN project.Resumo IPEN-doc 22329 Evaluation of TLD 600/700 responses at different irradiation fields2014 - CAVALIERI, T.A.; CASTRO, V.A.; SIQUEIRA, P.T.D.Resumo IPEN-doc 06334 Os objetivos do laboratorio didatico na universidade: uma enquete entre alunos e professores do IFUSP1997 - HORODYNSKI MATSUSHIGUE, L.B.; PASCHOLATI, P.R.; MORALLES, M.; YONEAMA, M.L.; DIAS, J.F.; SIQUEIRA, P.T.D.Resumo IPEN-doc 16709 BNCT research facility at IEA-R1m reactor2006 - COELHO, P.R.P.; SILVA, G.S.A.; SIQUEIRA, P.T.D.; YORIYAZ, H.; MUNIZ, R.O.R.; NASCIMENTO, J.F.; CARNEIRO, V.J.Resumo IPEN-doc 09238 Nuclear reactions, applications and computation2003 - DEPPMAN, A.; ARRUDA NETO, J.D.T.; LIKHACHEV, V.P.; MARTINS, M.N.; PEREIRA, S.A.; MESA HORMAZA, J.; SANTOS, A.; COELHO, P.R.P.; YORIYAZ, H.; SIQUEIRA, P.T.; ANDRADE e SILVA, G.S.; TAVARES, O.A.P.; DUARTE, S.B.; MEDEIROS, E.L.; GONCALVES, M.; PAIVA, E.; GARCIA, F.; DIMARCO, A.Resumo IPEN-doc 08547 Spatial dose distribution determination in simple phantoms2002 - YORIYAZ, H.; SIQUEIRA, P.T.D.; SANTOS, A.; GUIMARAES, M.I.C.C.; GARCEZ, A.T.Resumo IPEN-doc 13575 Metodologia para utilizacao de filmes radiograficos para avaliacao dosimetrica em radioterapia com feixes de eletrons2008 - SOUZA, G.S.; SIQUEIRA, P.T.D.; FONSECA, G.P.; FURNARI, L.; YORIYAZ, H.; POLI, M.E.; RUBO, R.; ANTUNES, P.C.G.; RODRIGUES, L.N.
