Artigo IPEN-doc 26908 Determination of inorganic elements in blood of mice immunized with Bothrops Snake venom using XRF and NAA2015 - SILVA, L.F.F.L. da; ZAMBONI, C.B.; BAHOVSCHI, V.; METAIRON, S.; SUZUKI, M.F.; SANTANNA, O.A.; RIZZUTTO, M.A.In this work, mice genetically modified [HIII line] were immunized against different Bothrops snake venoms to produce anti-Bothrops serum (antivenom). The Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) techniques were used to evaluate Ca and Fe concentrations in blood of these immunized mice in order to establish a potential correlation between both phenotypes: antibody response and blood constituents after Bothrops venom administration. The results were compared with the control group (mice not immunized) and with human being estimative. These data are important for clinical screening of patients submitted to immunological therapy as well as the understanding of the envenoming mechanisms.Artigo IPEN-doc 25900 Ions concentration in blood samples of SJL/J dystrophic mice strains using X-ray fluorescence spectrometry2019 - GIOVANNI, D.N.S.; ALMEIDA, M.R.; ZAMBONI, C.B.; METAIRON, S.; BALDUINO, K.N.; SUZUKI, M.F.; BUENO JUNIOR, C.R.Star This study proposes an investigation of ions in whole blood of the dystrophic animal model SJL/J (mice strain with dysferlin protein deficiency) and in the control group (C57BL/6J) using the Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometry technique. The comparison between control and dystrophic mice results shown an increase in blood for P, S, K and Fe (p < 0.05) while a decrease in Ca (p < 0.05). This elemental analysis will contribute to evaluate the best diagnostic, care and treatment procedures, for the Progressive Muscular Dystrophy.Artigo IPEN-doc 25194 Evaluation of ions and metals in the blood of GRMD dogs submitted to hASCs therapy by NAA and XRF techniques2019 - METAIRON, SABRINA; ZAMBONI, CIBELE B.; SUZUKI, MIRIAM F.; BUENO, CARLOS R.The elements Br, Ca, Cl, Cr, Fe, K, Mg, Na, P, Rb, S, and Zn were investigated in the whole blood samples of Golden Retriever dogs submitted to cell therapy (hASCs). These analyses were performed over 2 years using Neutron Activation Analysis and X-Ray Fluorescence techniques. The results were compared with control and untreated dog's. A significant increase was observed in K blood levels. There was also variation in blood levels of Br, Cr, Fe, Rb, S, and Zn.Artigo IPEN-doc 24352 Iron determination in whole blood samples of dystrophic mouse strains using X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry2017 - METAIRON, SABRINA; ZAMBONI, CIBELE B.; GIOVANNI, DALTON N. da S.; SUZUKI, MIRIAM F.; BUENO JUNIOR, CARLOS R.; RIZZUTTO, MARCIA de A.Several diseases can be monitored by assessing the variation of specific ion concentration in body fluids. This study proposes an alternative analysis, based on the X-ray fluorescence spectrometry technique, for the investigation of iron (Fe concentration determination) in whole blood of the dystrophic animal models. We performed blood analyses from three different strains with Muscular Dystrophy (Dmdmdx/ J, SJL/J and A/J) and from healthy (C57BL/6J) mice strain adopted as the control group. The results emphasize that iron levels in whole blood male samples of SJL/J and A/J are significantly higher. Related to the gender for Dmdmdx/J and SJL/J mouse strains the comparison emphasizes that iron level increase for males. The study of Fe behavior in whole blood mice samples with muscular dystrophy contributes to its diagnosis, providing a better understanding of this disease.Artigo IPEN-doc 23532 Determination of Fe in blood using portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry: an alternative for sports medicine2016 - ZAMBONI, C.B.; METAIRON, S.; KOVACS, L.; MACEDO, D.V.; RIZZUTTO, M.A.An alternate methodology based on a portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (PXRFS) for determination of Fe in blood was evaluated. The iron concentrations was determined in whole blood of 18 male amateur athletes (runners) using this portable XRF spectrometer and compared with a control group (54 male donors at the same age but not involved with physical activities) obtained by XRF and NAA techniques. The Fe concentration in the blood of runners is an important factor in sports medicine contributing to the performance of endurance athletes as well as for proposing new protocols of clinical evaluation.Artigo IPEN-doc 22423 Determination of iron content in whole blood in different mouse strains using a portable XRFS spectrometer2016 - ZAMBONI, CIBELE B.; METAIRON, SABRINA; SUZUKI, MIRIAM F.; BAHOVSCHI, VANESSA; RIZZUTTO, MARCIA A.Artigo IPEN-doc 22422 Blood elements concentration in cyclists investigated by instrumental neutron activation analysis2016 - ZAMBONI, C.B.; KOVACS, L.; METAIRON, S.; AZEVEDO, M.R.A.; FURHOLZ, C.F.; UCHIDA, M.C.Artigo IPEN-doc 22408 Inorganic elements in blood of mice immunized with snake venom using NAA and XRF techniques2016 - METAIRON, S.; ZAMBONI, C.B.; SUZUKI, M.F.; SILVA, L.F.F.L. da; RIZZUTTO, M.A.Artigo IPEN-doc 22312 New strategy to evaluate the effectiveness of nwe treatments using animal models2014 - ZAMBONI, CIBELE B.; METAIRON, SABRINA; SATO, IVONE M.; RIZZUTTO, MARCIA A.Artigo IPEN-doc 21759 Comparative study of inorganic elements determined in whole blood from Dmdsup(mdx)/J mice strain by EDXRF and NAA analytical techniques2016 - REDIGOLO, M.M.; SATO, I.M.; METAIRON, S.; ZAMBONI, C.B.
