Commissioning experiments of the new core of the IPEN/MB-01 research reactor with plate-type fuel elements

Abstract

This work aims to show the main experimental use of the zero power IPEN/MB-01 reactor during the commissioning of the new core containing plate-type fuel elements. The IPEN/MB-01 reactor is mainly used to validate the calculation methodology used in the design of nuclear reactor cores and the new core to specifically validate the methodology used in the design of the future core of the RMB research reactor (Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor).
