dc.description.abstractFourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy imaging was used to analyze cardiac atria from IL-1β-treated mice. Linear discriminant analysis identified spectral differences, notably in the 1500–1800 cm−1 region, suggesting IL-1β alters protein and lipid composition in heart tissue.
