| dc.description.abstract | The electrochemical behavior of Ti-13Nb-13Zr and Ti-6A1-7Nb alloys was investigated in naturally aerated—Hank's solution at 37°C by means of the variation of the corrosion potential as a function of time, potentiodynamic polarization curves and electrochemical impedance measurements. The results from the electrochemical tests indicated high corrosion resistance for both alloys in the test solution. The impedance diagrams were interpreted using an equivalent circuit that simulates a double layer oxide containing an inner thin barrier layer and an external thick porous layer filled with electrolyte. | |
