The complex was characterized by CHN microanalytical and infrared spectra. The emission spectrum of the uranyl ion shows four groups of lines of intrinsic luminescence of the matrix. Thermal behavior of the complex was investigated by thermogravimetric (TG) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) analysis. The structure of the complex resolved by X-ray showed that the uranium atom is octa-coordinated with two oxygen atoms, two bidentate nitrate ions and two DTSO ligands.
