Artigo IPEN-doc 13992 Preliminary study of the effect of temper in Marajoara ceramics2007 - TOYOTA, R.G.; MUNITA, C.S.; NEVES, E.G.; DEMARTINI, C.C.Artigo IPEN-doc 12139 Compositional groupings of some ancient native pottery made in Marajo Island2007 - TOYOTA, ROSIMEIRI G.; MUNITA, CASIMIRO S.; MENEZES, MARIO O.; NEVES, EDUARDO G.; DEMARTINI, CELIA C.Artigo IPEN-doc 12138 The utilization of trace chemical composition to correlate ceramics with clay deposits2007 - NUNES, KELLY P.; TOYOTA, ROSIMEIRI G.; MUNITA, CASIMIRO S.; OLIVEIRA, PAULO M.S.; NEVES, EDUARDO G.; SOARES, EMILIO A.A.In this work, 22 clay samples near Hatahara and Açutuba archaeological sites, and 135 ceramic samples were analyzed by means of Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis. INAA is the most suitable technique because it does not require mineralization of samples and has high sensitivity, accuracy and precision. The samples were irradiated in IEA-R1 reactor at IPEN-CNEN-SP at thermal neutron flux of 8,92x10 12 cm -2 s -1 during one hour. The elementary concentration results were studied using multivariate statistical methods. The compositions group classification was done through cluster analysis and the similarity/dissimilarity among the samples was studied by means of discriminant analysis.Artigo IPEN-doc 17641 Study of the firing temperature of Marajoara archaeological ceramics by electron paramagnetic resonance associated to INAA data2011 - NUNES, KELLY P.; TOYOTA, ROSIMEIRI G.; MUNITA, CASIMIRO S.; SCHAAN, DENISE P.; OLIVEIRA, PAULO M.S.; NEVES, EDUARDO G.; DEMARTINI, CELIA; BAFFA, OSWALDO; OLIVEIRA, LUIS C.; BRUNELLO, CARLOS A.Artigo IPEN-doc 15033 Neural network applied to elemental archaeological marajora ceramic compositions2009 - TOYOTA, ROSIMEIRI G.; MUNITA, CASIMIRO S.; BOSCARIOLI, CLODIS; HERNANDEZ, EMILIO D.M.; NEVES, EDUARDO G.; DEMARTINI, CELIA C.Artigo IPEN-doc 19528 Preliminary compositional evidence of provenance of ceramics from Hatahara Archaeological Site, Central Amazonia2013 - NUNES, K.P.; TOYOTA, R.G.; OLIVEIRA, P.M.S.; NEVES, E.G.; SOARES, E.A.A.; MUNITA, C.S.Artigo IPEN-doc 13119 Study of the temper effect in Marajoara ceramics2008 - TOYOTA, R.G.; MUNITA, C.S.; NEVES, E.G.; DEMARTINI, C.C.Chemical characterization of ceramic fragments is of great importance in archeology, due to the fact that relevant aspects of the ancient people can be clarified. Ceramics basically consist of a paste of clay with added temper. The presence of the temper can modify the chemical composition of the ceramic fragments, altering their characterization due to temper being a modifier of the natural composition of the clay used. Therefore, it is necessary to study its effect in the concentration of the inorganic elements in the ceramics. In this work, 161 Marajoara ceramic fragments were analyzed by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) to determine the As, Sa, Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, Eu, Fe, Hf, K, La, Na, Nd Rb, Sb, Sc, Sm, Ta, Tb, Th, U, Yb and Zn concentrations, with the purpose of studying the dilution effect provoked by temper. The analytical method is indicated for this kind of study because it presents high sensitivity, accuracy and precision in the determination of chemical elements to the level of trace and ultra trace elements, essential characteristics in the study of small concentration variations provoked by temper. The dilution factor was studied using a modified Mahalanobis filter. The data were interpreted through discriminant analysis.Artigo IPEN-doc 18344 Study of the firing temperature of Marajoara archaeological ceramics by EPR associated to INAA data2012 - NUNES, KELLY P.; MUNITA, CASIMIRO S.; TOYOTA, ROSIMEIRI G.; OLIVEIRA, PAULO T.M.; CANO, NILO F.; SCHAAN, DENISE; BAFFA, OSWALDO; OLIVEIRA, LUIZ C.; BRUNELLO, CARLOS A.; NEVES, EDUARDO G.; DEMARTINI, CELIA C.
