Ceramic shards from the archaeological site of Água Limpa, NE
Estate of São Paulo, Brazil, were analyzed by means of optical microscopy
and X-rays diffractometry to evaluate its microstructure and granulometry and compare the data with available INAA chemical analysis.
The chemical variability does not totally match with an equivalent mineralogical variability, but it can be inferred that at least one sample
was produced using a different much finer sediment.
