Resumo IPEN-doc 16168 Potential applications for the use of rare earth complexes and nanoparticles as luminescent biolabels2010 - FELINTO, M.C.F.C.; KODAIRA, C.A.; PAGANINI, P.P.; SANTOS, E.G.; LOURENCO, A.V.S.; BRITO, H.F.; NUNES, L.A.O.; MALTA, O.L.; SANCHES, E.; GIDLUND, M.; GOTO, H.; BRITO, M.E.F.The ever growing interest in rare earth coordination compounds and materials wilh optical properties stems from applications in multidisciplinar fields such as nanosensors, materials for telecommunications. lighting devices, and luminescent probes for bioanalyses and live cell imaging and sensing. Most of these applications use the unique ability of lhe rare earth ions to emit well-defined narrow bands in different spectral ranges, from visible to near-infrared. Due to the low absorption cross-section of the f.f transitions, efficient population of lhe excited 4f states has to rely on energy transfer from the surroundings of Ihe metal ion (antena effect or luminescence sensitization). Another point desirable is the use of RE3+ ions wilh emission in the near-infrared (NIR) region reducing !he interference from biological materials in the analyses. In this work. we report the preparation and characterization of rare earth coordination compounds and nanoparticles based on rare earth ions. RE3+ beta-diketonate complexes with macrocyclic ligand has been synthesized and characterized and are being used to mark hemoglobin S (sickle cells) Leishmania (tropical disease) and PSA (Prostate-specific antigen that is a protein produced by cells of the prostate gland. The PSA test measures the level of PSA in the blood). Several nanoparticles based on Nd3+, Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions doped into the Y2O3 matrix. are also being synthesized and evaluated for labeling anti-oxLDL (anti-oxidized low density lipoproteins), one of the principal causes of cardiovascular diseases and responsible for around 30% of deaths world-wide. information about struture and average grain size of these nanoparticles were obtained by x-ray diffration (XRDJ, transmission electron micrograph (TEM) and infrared absorption spectroscopy.Resumo IPEN-doc 12400 Nanoparticulas de Ysub(2)Osub(3):Eusup(3+) funcionalizadas para atuarem como marcadores luminescentes em imunoensaio para a LDL2007 - KODAIRA, CLAUDIA A.; TOMIYAMA, CLAUDIA S.; FELINTO, MARIA C.F.C.; STEFANI, ROBERVAL; LOURENCO, ANA V.S.; BRITO, HERMI F.; RIOS, FRANCISCO J.O.; GIDLUND, MAGNUS A.Resumo IPEN-doc 12392 Estudo de propriedades luminescentes de nanoparticulas de SnOsub(2)/TiOsub(2):Eusup(3+) para atuarem como marcadores em fluoroimunoensaio2007 - PAGANINI, PAULA P.; KODAIRA, CLAUDIA A.; STEFANI, ROBERVAL; FELINTO, MARIA C.F. da C.; BRITO, HERMI F. de; MALTA, OSCAR M.L.; TEOTONIO, ERCULES E. de S.Resumo IPEN-doc 15379 Luminescent study of SnOsub(2):Eusup(3+) nanopowders prepared by Pechini method2006 - KODAIRA, CLAUDIA A.; FELINTO, MARIA C.F.C.; BRITO, HERMI F.; HIDALGO, PILAR; PERES, HENRIQUEArtigo IPEN-doc 15069 Inorganic ion exchanger based on tin/titanium mixed oxide doped with europium to be used in radioactive waste2009 - PAGANINI, PAULA P.; FELINTO, MARIA C.F.C.; KODAIRA, CLAUDIA A.; BRITO, HERMI F.Artigo IPEN-doc 12271 Optical investigation of Ysub(2)Osub(3)?Snsup(3+) nanophosphor prepared by combustion and Pechini methods2007 - KODAIRA, C.A.; STEFANI, R.; MAIA, A.S.; FELINTO, M.C.F.C.; BRITO, H.F.Artigo IPEN-doc 14016 Luminescent nanoparticles of MgAl2O4:Eu, Dy prepared by citrate sol-gel method2008 - MAIA, ALESSANDRA S.; STEFANI, ROBERVAL; KODAIRA, CLAUDIA A.; FELINTO, MARIA C.F.C.; TEOTONIO, ERCULES E.S.; BRITO, HERMI F.MgAl2O4:Eu, Dy nanoparticles were prepared by citrate sol-gel method and thermally treated at 600, 700, 800 and 900 °C. The trivalent europium ion is partially reduced to the divalent state at 700 and 800 °C. Infrared spectra of the phosphors showed bands around 700 and 520 cm-1 corresponding to the AlO6 groups. X-ray diffraction patterns present sharp reflections of samples heated from 700 to 900 °C indicating the MgAl2O4 spinel phase. Grain size in the range 20-30 nm were observed by measurement of transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The emission spectra of the phosphors show a broadened band at 480 nm assigned to the 4f65d → 4f7 (8S7/2) transition of Eu2+ ion overlapped to the 4F9/2 → 6H15/2 transition of the Dy3+ ion. Besides, the 4F9/2 → 6H13/2 transition (579 nm) of Dy3+ ion is overlapped with the 5D0 → 7F0 (578 nm) and 5D0 → 7F1 (595 nm) transitions from the Eu3+ ion. Excitation spectra of the sample heated at 900 °C monitoring the excitation at 615 nm of 5D0 → 7F2 transition of Eu3+ ion exhibit a broad band assigned to the O → Eu3+ ligand-to-metal charge-transfer states (LMCT) around 280 nm. The samples present green persistent luminescence after exposure to UV radiation. The chromaticity coordinates were obtained from the luminescence emission spectrum.Artigo IPEN-doc 17825 Biolabeling with nanoparticles based on Ysub(2)Osub(3):Ndsup(3+) and luminescence detection in the near-infrared2011 - KODAIRA, CLAUDIA A.; LOURENCO, ANA V.S.; FELINTO, MARIA C.F.C.; SANCHEZ, EDUARDO M.R.; RIOS, FRANCISCO J.O.; NUNES, LUIZ A.O.; GIDLUND, MAGNUS; MALTA, OSCAR L.; BRITO, HERMI F.
