dc.description.abstractThoron equilibrium equivalent concentrations were determined by means of gamma-ray spectrometry, total alpha counting and alpha spectrometry in two facilities at the Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (Ipen), Sao Paulo, Brazil. The concentrations determined varied over ranges from 0.32 to 6.97 Bq.m™ at the nuclear materials storage site, and from 9.9 to 249.8 Bqctm'3 at the thorium purification plant investigated.
