Currently, in Brazil, there are thousands of barrels of oil sludge in initial deposits, waiting for treatment in order to go to final disposal. Among the available treatment methods, the use of surfactants stands out due to its simplicity of application as well as its waste decontamination potential. Thus, this work aims to investigate the use of an anionic surfactant for the decontamination of oil sludge obtained in different platforms in Brazil.
